Overview
Skin doesn’t only age through lines. Over time it loses moisture, density and that lit-from-within look, and sun, stress, poor sleep and the natural ageing process all play a part. NCTF® skin booster is designed to tackle exactly that. It’s a bio-revitalising (mesotherapy) treatment that places a nourishing blend directly into the skin, at a depth moisturisers and serums simply can’t reach.
NCTF® stands for New Cellular Treatment Factor. The formula, developed by Laboratoires Filorga, combines non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with more than 50 active ingredients, including vitamins, amino acids, minerals, coenzymes, nucleic acids and antioxidants. Because the hyaluronic acid isn’t cross-linked, it hydrates the skin without adding volume or changing your facial shape. That’s why NCTF is considered a skin-quality treatment rather than a filler.
It is also one of the better-studied skin boosters. In a randomised controlled study published in the Journal of Dermatological Treatment in 2023, 146 participants had three sessions of NCTF® 135HA on the face, neck and décolletage. Compared with an anti-ageing moisturiser used on its own, treated skin showed a significant reduction in wrinkles and better radiance, and hydration increased within a week of the final session.
At Mélo Clinic in Acton, every NCTF treatment begins with a proper consultation. We look at your skin, listen to what bothers you and plan a course that suits you, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package. If you’re also curious about polynucleotides, Profhilo or microneedling, we’ll talk you through how they compare and whether combining them makes sense.
NCTF suits most skin types and tones, and works particularly well for skin that looks tired and flat rather than deeply wrinkled. It may help with:
How It Works
We start by talking through your skin, your goals and your medical history, including medication, allergies and any recent treatments. This is also when we check that NCTF is right for you.
Your practitioner assesses hydration, texture and tone, maps the areas to be treated and agrees how many sessions you’re likely to need.
After cleansing the skin (and applying numbing cream if you’d like it), tiny amounts of NCTF are placed into the skin using a fine needle, in a pattern designed to treat the whole area evenly.
You’ll leave with clear aftercare advice. Skin often feels more hydrated after the first session, and the improvement builds across your course.

FAQ
NCTF® (New Cellular Treatment Factor) is an injectable skin booster that delivers non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, together with vitamins, amino acids, minerals, coenzymes, nucleic acids and antioxidants, directly into the skin. It’s designed to improve hydration, texture and glow rather than add volume.
No. Dermal fillers add structure or volume. NCTF uses non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid to hydrate and nourish the skin, so your facial shape stays exactly as it is.
They’re all skin boosters, but each has its own formula and works in its own way. NCTF combines hyaluronic acid with a broad blend of vitamins, amino acids and other nutrients to hydrate and revitalise the skin. At your consultation we’ll explain which option suits your concerns best, and whether combining them makes sense.
Most people find it very tolerable. You’ll feel small pinpricks and perhaps some stinging, particularly around the eyes and neck. Numbing cream can be applied beforehand if you’d like it.
A typical course is three sessions spaced around three weeks apart. Some people benefit from more, and your practitioner will confirm the right plan at your consultation. Maintenance sessions can then keep your results topped up.
Many people notice their skin feeling more hydrated and looking fresher after the first session, with smoother texture and glow building across the course.
NCTF isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or are allergic to any of the ingredients. We’ll go through your medical history at your consultation to make sure treatment is safe for you.
Often, yes. NCTF can be used alongside treatments such as microneedling, peels or anti-wrinkle injections, and your practitioner will advise on the right timing so each treatment works well.
